COVID-19: Baby care during epidemic days
![]() |
Today's children are the nation in the coming days. So it is a moral dilemma for all of us to take special care of a child during these epidemic days.
From the Chinese city of Wuhan, now the global pandemic has spread throughout the world. However, the elderly are more prone to the disease and the rate of infection is lower.
A Chinese study found that only 1% of the number of people affected by COVID-19 is below 10 years. Yet children are still a touching part of the coronavirus epidemic. Therefore, extra care of the baby is important at this time.
There are many theories, but health experts have no specific answer as to why children are not suffering.
"Because it is not entirely clear, either the children are avoiding the infection or they are not suffering from a fatal infection," Ian Jones, a professor of science or virology at the University of Reading, told the BBC.
Children are very mildly affected by the disease, which causes no symptoms. And that's why they don't go to the doctor and they don't even need to be admitted to the hospital.
Most of the respiratory problems that children suffer from are usually viral (RSV and influenza viruses). Many of the children infected with coronavirus were either symptomatic or had mild symptoms. However, there may be fever, cough, and shortness of breath. But children play an important role in the transmission of the virus. Therefore, children should be kept away from other elderly family members if they suffer from colds, coughs.
If a family member goes out, you should go to the baby without washing your hands and changing your clothes. Keep your child at home to keep them at risk. Don't take it to school, coaching, market, or far. You can take the help of online classes if needed. Train your child to wash hands frequently. Teach him to wash his hands while singing 'Happy Birthday' twice.
Cleaning your home is also essential to prevent coronavirus. So keep everything clean on the floor furniture of the house. Feed your child home-cooked nutritious food. Since the baby is more sweaty in the summer, you can eat more water, fruit juice. Eggs, meat well cooked and eaten.
In addition to physical care, the child's emotional care is also important. Because children are unable to move out, many children are feeling frustrated at home. As a result, the baby is growing addicted to mobile, television, and video games. So you can spend time with them to talk to them. Reading storybooks, learning poetry, or playing indoor games (chess, carom, sudoku). Encourage origami, drawing, and other creative work.
If the child is ill, you can contact the nearest hospital hotline. No need to go to the hospital if you don't need too much. Your child has already learned about Quid-1 through magazines or television. So your privacy or silence will not be able to protect him from this disease, but awareness will also protect him.
