Foods that are dangerous to the child's health


Parents are always concerned about the health and nutrition of their children. A child needs proper and nutritious food to grow up healthy. Therefore, it is important to pay attention to the foods that are being given to the child for growth and development of proper intelligence. Many times relatives want to give or feed different types of food to the child. In that case, you have to take care of whether the food is dangerous for the baby or not.

According to experts, some fun foods are not easily digested by children. These foods hinder their development.

Here is a list of foods that are dangerous to give a baby before the baby is one year old.

1. Cow's milk.


It is better not to give cow's milk before the baby's first year is completed. Because cow's milk contains more protein and sodium which interferes with the baby's digestion. In addition, cow's milk contains less iron and less essential fatty acids than breast milk and formula milk. But iron and fatty acids are vital for baby growth. Many babies can develop acidity and allergies if given cow's milk at an early age.

2. Marine fish.


Marine fish like tuna, salmon, coral, etc. contain a high amount of mercury. So it is not right to give these to children. Without pasteurization, milk contains many types of dangerous bacteria. Milk without pasteurization should therefore not be given to infants.

3. Honey:


After the baby is born, the parents let him lick the honey. But it should not be given in any way until the children are one year old. If the child is not 6 months old, honey cannot be given in his mouth. At this time no food can be given to the baby except only breast milk. This is because the baby is at risk of botulism for up to a year, and honey carries the fungus. When a child consumes honey, his immunity becomes weak. It can also cause constipation and bacterial infections.

4. Raisins:


It is not good to feed them raisins at this age. Will have to pay after getting a little older. Because raisins contain a lot of vitamins. Which is not able to accept children under one year of age.

5. Chocolate: 


The most favorite food of children is chocolate. However, the cocoa used in it destroys the digestive power of children and damages the teeth. This can cause allergies in many children. So it is better not to give chocolate as much as possible and it cannot be given at all before 1 year.

6. Eggs:


At this age, eggs are a bit allergic. But not everyone will have a problem. So if someone in the family is allergic to eggs, it is better to wait for a while. If there is no problem with allergies, then eating eggs should not be a problem. However, it should be fed slowly.

7. Large pieces of large fruits and vegetables:


At this age, large pieces of vegetables like carrots, cucumbers, etc. and large pieces of fruit like apples, pears, etc. should not be given. Vegetables should be cooked well and fruits should be eaten in small pieces or crushed.

8. Hard chocolate or jelly:


These foods should not be given to children at this age, should be avoided. Otherwise, it will reduce the digestive power of the baby.

9. Nuts:


Peanuts or some such nuts cause allergies. So it is best not to give these foods to the baby before the age of one year. And if any member of the family is allergic to nuts, then you have to wait for some time or consult a doctor.

10. Salt:


Kidneys in children cannot tolerate salt and sodium. This is because salt contains a lot of sodium which causes digestive problems in the baby's stomach. So it is better not to add salt in baby food. However, after one year, you can mix a little salt in the baby's food. But before one year, salt cannot be used to make baby food at all.

11. Carbonated drinks:


Pepsi, Sprite, Coke, Soda Water, these carbonated drinks are rich in sugar, sodium, and artificial flavors which are very harmful to children. The gas in these drinks causes carbonation which causes problems in the small stomach of children.

12. Sour fruit and fruit juice:


The child should not be given sour fruit until 1 year. This is because the sour fruit contains acids that children cannot digest. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends not giving fruit juices to first-year infants. Fruit juice provides no nutrition to babies in the first year.

13. Sugar: 


It is not advisable to mix sugar in baby food, as excess sugar can cause tooth decay. So you can give him sweet fruits like banana, sweet mango, etc. to get the taste of sugar.
